Okay. I confess. Despite my lack of proper equipment (ie. a camera), I'm fascinated by cameras and photography. I like to fiddle and twiddle around with the buttons and play around with the settings. I love it. I love the feeling of capturing a picture. I love the way the way captured colours garnish the image and change the way it's represented. I love how a good photo yields emotions and memories.
I'm especially fond of black and white prints. The grey scale seems to conjure up much more emotion than a coloured photo. Maybe it's the romance of it all. The allure of seeing the "almost" exactness of something. It's ironic how taking away a characteristic of something adds that much more drama and substance.
Most of these were taken during trips to New York and New Jersey, others were taken out of sheer boredom. They've been laying idle in my computer for a while. I might as well share them with the e-world. Some of them are good. Others aren't. Some are there just for sheer whimsy. I'm getting MY very own camera in a few weeks and I am absolutely stoked. In a just a few weeks, I can snap, fiddle and twiddle without hindrance. My dear beloved camera has arrived at last!HUZZAH!
